抓海鮮季開始咯!一起去抓大蟶子

大蟶子(Razor Clam)是西雅圖地區的海鮮名產之一。捕捉大蟶子既可以吃到新鮮的野生海鮮又可以享受挖捕的樂趣,是當地很多家庭樂此不疲的春季戶外活動。進入抓捕季,今天小編就來教教你,如何抓住大蟶子。

clamming注意事項:
大蟶子的抓捕時間管理非常嚴格。華州規定,必須在long beach、twin harbors等幾個制定地點,而且在政府對海域檢測確定合格後進行。此外,每個人限制捕捉15隻大蟶子,且各人捕捉到的要分開裝在不同容器里,方便檢查。

必備工具:
執照:挖大蟶子需要的執照可在政府官網購買,一些挖海鮮的熱門地點也設有執照購買點。購買後會受到一封電郵的臨時執照,幾天后正式的執照就會寄送到家裡啦。如果時間緊迫,也可在Fred Meyer、Big 5等大型雜貨商店內購買。網站:https://fishhunt.dfw.wa.gov/

電筒:因為挖大蟶子大多在退潮前後進行,雖然現在已經進入夏令時,但可能挖完收拾東西時已經天氣漸晚。所以小編建議您還是隨身攜帶電筒、頭燈等照明物為好。

手套:最好是包裹整支手臂的長手套。因為時常需要把手伸進洞里掏大蟶子。而且有事大蟶子會被Clam Gun碾碎,留下很多鋒利的碎片,直接用手可能會被劃破。手套價格10到30元不等。
雨靴:海灘上行走,怎麼能沒有一雙塑料膠鞋呢。不僅有很多泥沙,而且很容易被排過來的海浪灌了一腳的冰冷海水。
塑料桶:保存你的戰利品的最好方式莫過於裝滿海水的塑料桶啦。當然,如果你速度夠快的話,也可以用黑色的網兜代替。
雨衣:西雅圖地區下雨很多,為了不被雨水騷擾,影響了行程,戶外活動帶件雨衣可是必備的。此外,海邊風大水汽重,穿上雨衣也可以很好的保暖。
防曬:不要低估了海邊的陽光,愛白愛美的人士記得防曬哦。
帽子:海邊風大,尤其是清晨日出前。頭部是人體熱量流失最快的地方。帶上一頂毛絨帽可以有效的保暖哦。

Recipe for Razor Clam Linguine:

1 1/2 cups razor clams, cut into 1/2-inch pieces0315cooksadventuresrecipe_01

10 ounces linguine

1/4 cup butter

1/4 cup olive oil

1 cup onion, diced

4-5 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup white wine

2 cups tomatoes, diced

1 Tbsp. oregano, chopped (optional)

1 cup parsley, chopped

2 Tbsp. basil, chopped (optional)

saffron or red pepper flakes (optional)

1/3 cup Parmesan, grated

  1. In a large saucepan, sweat the onions and garlic over medium heat in the butter and olive oil. Add wine (I add several strands of saffron to the wine half an hour beforehand) and cook for a few minutes, then add tomatoes and oregano and simmer 10–15 minutes. If sauce gets too thick, add a splash of water.
  2. If using fresh pasta, add the razor clams to sauce when putting pasta into boiling water; if pasta is dried, wait until it is half-cooked and then add clams to sauce. The razors only need a few minutes of cooking.
  3. Drain and toss pasta in a large bowl with sauce, parsley and any other herbs. Serve with Parmesan.
